The Project Portfolio Management Diagnostic Program is a low effort, high impact program designed to help project owners assess and improve their PPM practices. You will gather feedback from internal as well external stakeholders, and report on all aspects of your PPM environment in order to understand where you stand and how you can improve. The diagnostics is conducted in 4 steps:

Step 1: Current State Scorecard
Understand your Project Portfolio Management environment and identify areas for improvement. View your scores on an in-depth level for each report area: Project Portfolio Management, Project Management, Customer Management, Resource Utilisation.
Audience: Portfolio Owner, typically the CIO or Head of the Project Management Office
Step 2: PPM Customer Satisfaction Report
Explore differences in perception between project customers and portfolio owners. Practical and prioritised advice to portfolio owners based on their customer satisfaction results. Understand your scores on an in-depth department-by-department level for areas such as: Project Delivery, Management, Customer Management, Project Cancellation & Alignment.
Audience: Project Customers, Portfolio Owner, typically the CIO or Head of the Project Management Office
Step 3: PPM Assessment
Measure and communicate success in terms of best practices for PPM.
Understand your scores on an in-depth department-by-department level for PPM area such as – PPM Governance, Administration, Reporting, Project Leadership, Project Intake etc.
Audience: Portfolio Owners, CIO, IT management, and Project Management Office staff
Step 4: PM Assessment
Measure and communicate success in terms of best practices for PM. Understand your scores on an in-depth level for each PM Area - Project Planning, Resourcing, Reporting, and Time Tracking
